For Volunteers

Taos has more volunteers per capita than any city in the United States. Whether people have lived here a lifetime or have picked Taos as their home, they choose to demonstrate their investment in our community's quality of life. Hundreds of Taoseños volunteer their time annually to the community - as tutors, coaches, museum docents, caregivers, activity leaders, and support personnel. If you are interested in volunteering we offer ways to connect you to causes you care about.

D.H. Lawrence Ranch looking for Volunteer Docents

Interested in being in a Volunteer Docent at the DH Lawrence Ranch?
UNM Taos is offering a course to acquaint you with DH Lawrence and the time he spent and wrote at the Kiowa Ranch in NM. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of the impact of northern New Mexico on the writings of DH Lawrence and be able to serve as docents for the Kiowa Ranch and conduct tours of the property. Click on the document to the left to download more information regarding the D.H. Lawrence class or contact Bill Haller.
