Students at Rivers and Birds plant new trees with grant funds.
Taos Community Foundation Stewards our resources so that we can Share them as effectively as possible. We work directly with the nonprofit organizations in our area, several of whom are partners, hosting their endowments with us, and the many others which provide needed service to the community. We have donor-selected grants as well as competitive grant application cycles annually. Our committee members review proposals and extant community need and determine how our resources will be best-distributed among deserving nonprofit programs. We also develop Community Leadership efforts through strategic investments, which pool human resources from multiple organizations, incubate ideas around an emergent issue and may result in development of specific organizations, coalitions, activities, projects and/or services based on intelligence and teamwork which target that issue. This range of means to share is a part of our flexibility in meeting community needs. The human, structural and relational capital in our intricate organizational network is our leverage for getting the hard work done, in no uncertain terms.
The contents of the Grants and Services section are provided to educate both grant-seekers and donors about our current work in the comunity.
